On many of our trips to dusty and dry countries as well as during most sports and rally events, we had the problem that fine dust kept getting into the intake tract through the air filters. Sometimes with significant consequences for the engine. We have tried and tested many air filters over the past few years. We found the solution to our dust problem in Australia. Important tip:
- In road use, air filters should also be checked between the actual maintenance intervals and cleaned if necessary due to their design (foam).
- In off-road sports, the air filter is usually checked at least after every race and is therefore automatically within the regular maintenance intervals.
